California Sno-Parks
The California Department of Parks and Recreation operates 19 Sno-Park sites (9 located in the Lake Tahoe area). They provide access to snow play areas, sledding, cross-country skiing and snowmobile trails. The parks also include snow-cleared parking lots and sanitation facilities. Alpine Meadows

Alpine Meadows offers world class skiing and snowboarding. From the base at 6835’ to the top of Ward peak at 8,637’, Alpine offers some of the most exciting runs in the Lake Tahoe area.  Alpine features 14 lifts and approximately 100 trails, covering over 2,400 acres, average annual snowfall of 365 inches, and to top it off, spectacular views of Lake Tahoe.  The slopes here will challenge beginners through expert skiers.

Lake Tahoe Lift Ticket Deals

With over a 400 inch average snowfall and this years addition of state of the art snow making equipment will double last years output, the skiing is always good. This will make for a much improved early season product, cementing Boreal’s reputation as the first place to be in a Northern California winter. Donner Ski Ranch

Since the first rope tow was built in 1937, Donner Ski Ranch has offered a simpler skiing experience. Located on Historic US Route 40 high atop Donner Summit you will find an atmosphere that is relaxing and carefree. From the summit of 7781 feet there are 52 runs to the base at 7031 ft. With 6 chairlifts accessing 460 acres there is a variety of terrain for all abilities.

Granlibakken

Located on the west side of the lake between Tahoe City and Homewood, Granlibakken Resort features an intimate ski hill, perfect for beginning through intermediate skiers and snowboarders. It's a great place to avoid the crowds of larger ski resorts, while enjoying a day of skiing right out your back door.
